The left celiac ganglion (1) and the cranial mesenteric ganglion (2) are located, respectively, in the celiac and cranial mesenteric plexuses around the celiac (3) and cranial mesenteric (4) arteries. The plexuses are fed by the major splanchnic n. (5) from the sympathetic trunk (6). The dorsal vagal nerve trunk (7) sends a branch (8) to the celiacomesenteric plexus. Identify the kidney (9), adrenal gland (10), esophagus (11), and the incised diaphragm (12).
