Bovine sympathetic trunk, longitudinal section (Triple stain). The neuroglial cell of the PNS is the lemmocyte (neurolemmocyte). Numerous lemmocyte nuclei (green arrows) are visible in this nerve section. Some of the nuclei belong to endoneurial fibrocytes (blue arrows), or to vessels. Myelinated fibers are relatively sparse and small in diameter in the sympathetic trunk.
