Features: Tutorial Section:
Each part is concluded by an optional multiple-choice quiz. The Drill section, which allows students to trace autonomic pathways to different organs in the body at their own pace as often as they wish, is ideal for learning, confirming and reinforcing anatomical knowledge. Students are required to trace pathways efficiently, by first identifying the pathway origin for a given target, then the synaptic location (ganglion) for the selected target organ and finally filling-in the correct names of nerves between these "mileposts". As the pathway is being traced it is listed on the screen and a "?" shows where the next choice should fit. Choices are scored and they total 100% when the pathway is correctly identified. Over 70 pathways to 36 representative organs can be traced as a drill exercise and then depicted graphically. After tracing a pathway or aborting a trace, the student can see a graphic depiction of the correct pathway. Thus the Drill Section can be used to look-up correct pathways.
