Contents: Purpose: Organization: Name series:Illustrations of bones are accompanied by a list of named features. For each feature named on the list, students should attempt to identify the feature on a real bone and on the computer illustrated bones. A mouse-click on the name will reveal its correct location on the computer screen illustration of the bone. In some cases, the clinical significance of a feature can be revealed by a button click. Additional views of some bones are available. Structure series:This series of computer screens reveals illustrations of bones without an accompanying list of feature names. However, a mouse-click on an illustrated feature will cause the name of the feature to pop up. Also the locations of all features for which names are available can be shown. This series is good for review of bones. When in doubt about the name of a particular feature, a click on the computer screen will reveal the name. Student Evaluations:
Platform Requirements: Canine Bones 3.3 is a HyperCard stand-alone application. Minimal requirements are a Macintosh computer with a 9-in. black & white screen and 2 MB of RAM available to run the application. Disc size is 2.5 MB.
