Purpose:
Gaits 1.3 is independent study courseware intended to help students learn foot-fall patterns of normal quadruped gaits, using the dog as a model species. The courseware describes the major types of gaits and their typical variations. It should help students to develop the skill of recognizing limb patterns in a moving animal by instructing them about what to anticipate when they observe locomotion.
