Contents

Features:

  • Canine Brain Atlas presents color plates of 16 stained transverse sections through a canine brain. Each plate is accompanied by a list of the names of structures that veterinary students are expected to know.
  • Clicking a name highlights the term and produces a label on the color plate and a definition of the selected term. By clicking a button, students can hear the name of the structure pronounced.
  • Alternatively, one can make all labels visible. Then, clicking a label highlights the name of the corresponding structure and shows its definition.
  • An unlabeled, enlarged image of each brain section is available. One can step singly or cycle continuously through the enlarged images.
  • In addition to brain sections, labeled illustrations of surface views and various dissections of the canine brain are available, organized by brain division.
