Canine Brain Transections Atlas

General information about Atlas images:

• Magnification varies across atlas images. The largest images are magnified to a width of 5 inches. Smaller images are enlarged variably to show their features in the best way.
• Canvas size is 8 inches wide by 5 inches high (to accommodate landscape mode presentation).
• To accommodate multiple labels, the label text is Arial, Regular, smooth-antialias, 8 pt, with 9 pt line spacing. The bottom title is Arial, Regular, 18 pt, strong-antialias, and RGB = 153, 0, 0 (the subtitle in parentheses is 14 pt). Label lines are 12 px thick (8 px black & 4 px white).
• Photoshop image files will be available for submission as final products. The Photoshop files are CYMK 600 ppi with separate layers for: brain images, all label lines, each label text.
• PDF image files can be downloaded immediately from links on this web site. They are derived from flattened Photoshop files and are intended for printing to evaluate image size and quality. Image quality should be comparable to the Photoshop files, but the PDF files cannot be readily edited in Photoshop. (Note: PDF files are 300 ppi.)
• The screen images shown on this web site are re-sized, sharpened, flattened, converted to RGB, and optimized for the web. The small images are 600 pixels wide and serve as links to large images that are 1200 pixels wide. The screen images are intended for previewing content, i.e., images, labels, placements, etc.
